The City of Frankston is situated on the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay, approximately 40 kilometres south of Melbourne’s central business district. The area covers 131 square kilometres. The estimated residential population was 134,143, as of the 2016 Australian Census.
The Let's Read program first commenced delivery in Frankston in November 2019. The Smith Family delivers the ‘Let’s Read packs through partnership with various local community and health organisations. These have included the Brotherhood of St Laurence, Anglicare, Peninsula Health, The Salvation Army and OzChild.
