Today the Governor-General Quentin Bryce and Arts Minister Simon Crean joined 150 guests at the National Library for the 2012 National Year of Reading Legacy Event. This legacy event celebrated of the achievements of everyone who has participated in the National Year of Reading campaign and provided an opportunity to discuss the future of the Love2Read brand documenting recommendations for policymakers about the future of reading in Australia.
In his keynote address Mr Crean announced that the Love2Read campaign and the Let's Read national campaign will come together to improve literacy and promote libraries across the country.
